Sisters are 9x more effective than elders, but the spirit is 600x more effective than both!

Hello! What's up! Hola from the Bronx! We have seen so many miracles from this week as we've turned our planning style from us to the spirit. Pro tip: spirit always works better than anything we can do.

On Saturday we were having a rough day, everyone had cancelled, and finally at the end of the day we had an awkward 30 minutes before we had to get home. We had no idea what to do, so we said a quick prayer and decided to look up a former in a close by building. The elders that had tracted into her had left some confusing notes about where she lived, but we knocked her door and she wasn't there. We have a new policy where we knock two doors at every building we visit, so we knocked another one and no one was home, and then we knocked another one (actually I just straight up pushed it open cuz the bell was stuck hahaha) and it was the lady we were looking for! Crazy! And then she scheduled an appointment for next week! So we left the building but still had more time, so we prayed again and felt like we should go back and tract the whole building (it was a small 8 apartment one) and we ended up getting two other awesome investigators from it! It was so cool! And as we were travelling back home on the subway we were talking to this Spanish lady, and halfway through the conversation she mentions that she met with missionaries when she lived in Inwood, so we got her number and gave it to the hermanas. One of the hermanas had taught her before and had completely lost her THREE different times, and was so excited when we told her that we had found her! So basically,  we got three new investigators, a referral, and found someone in the space of about 45 minutes! It really testified to us that this is 100% the Lord's work, and our job is to work our hardest and be carriers of the spirit.

Well that was Saturday, but Friday had been the biggest struggle hahaha which made it even better. I totally fell out of my chair twice, called someone and left a voice mail while laughing hysterically (they called back for the first time and asked if the person crying who had just left a message was ok BUT we got an appointment with them so it's all good), and sister Atkinson was texting while we were talking about repentance and accidentally sent "have a good repentance" instead of "have a good weekend." 

Shout out to sweet sister spendlove who went home this week! And to my home girl SISTER LEFRANDT who is going to Sendai Japan!! Also let's just give a large shout out to the Kingsbridge 2nd ward because wow I love them. (Sundays are just the best because who would ever think that 3 hours of sitting in church would be the most relaxing thing of your week? (Answer: missionaries))

Well the work goes on! We are busy with our double digit progressing investigators and so many referrals we get daily. We just wish when we get on Google maps to see how long it takes to get somewhere it wouldn't say 11 minutes by car, 47 by bus, and 53 walking.
