HECK YEAH let your light so shine!

Dear everyone,

I hope you've had a glorious week! This has been one of my most exciting so far! Here's a couple of reasons why:

1. The power went out island-wide on Saturday at 5 pm. It was raining like crazy that day and then that happened, so guess how many people wanted to meet with us that night?? (Jamaicans are super scared of the rain and the dark. You better believe it was an adventure!) It ended up working out but also teaching me a lesson on how much the gospel really does bring light into people's lives. That's literally how the world is right now- complete darkness. And just like my handy dandy flashlight that literally saved our lives that night, the gospel is able to not only illuminate the way but completely cut through the darkness. It was the coolest (and a little bit scary, not gonna lie) object lesson for me! Life lesson from a road block!
2. Met people from a straight up cult this week (don't worry, they're not in good standing with them right now) and it was slightly terrifying!! Almost as terrifying as when we were discussing a ghost that has previously been seen at an investigator's house while sitting in their driveway AND THEN IT APPEARED OUT OF NOWHERE I was literally dying hahahah. But then he walked out and started talking to us and his name is Lisol and he's actually pretty nice!! Haha
3. "....amen. Can I smoke my weed now?" Glad to know you learned so much from our lesson, Nicholas.
4. NO LONGER BEING TRAINED HOLLA AT YOUR GIRL
5. Remember my irrational fear of white people? It's been replaced by an irrational fear of goats. That will happen to you when you're walking in the dark and then look up and THERE'S A GOAT RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE
6. Had the absolute best lesson with a guy named Damion. Were talking about the sacrament and had him read the sacrament prayer and we all looked at each other and were like he is going to be doing this soon!!! The spirit was so strong!!!
7. Woke up one morning and was like hey! I don't think I have culture shock anymore! Meaning I know longer am like "wow this is a completely different country" and am just like "ok this is normal life." It was an exciting moment for me.

Well everyone, have a great week, and don't forget to read your scriptures!!! Love you all!!
